Spice Up Your Summer Workout With Around The Clock Lunges!

Spice up your summer workout while you’re away on vacation or at the beach for the day by trying these Around The Clock Lunges that will have you feeling your legs in no time!
Doing lunges on the sand adds a stability challenge since the sand is uneven. Doing the lunges clockwise and counter clockwise is not as monotonous as doing 12 lunges each leg facing the same way, AND you can check out the people on the beach without being too obvious…wink!
Form: Rib cage up (chest lifted), belly button pulled up and in toward spine (supporting lower back), pelvis slightly tucked under, keep knee over ankle (don’t let it go past the toes), lunging straight down pushing up through the heel contracting the glute (or butt cheek).
Beginner: Go half way around clock (until the 6).
Intermediate/Advance: Go all the way around and back again (12 lunges each leg). Also adding a knee lift as you lift leg back into position will add more of a stability challenge.
